For: Summer

Summer: Can you come any sooner, please?

As summer approaches quickly, I'm anxious to more spend time outside. It might be that Utah has been having a really cold Spring because I usually don't have this much anticipation. As I drive home from school every day, I think about all the things I could be doing in the Summer when I'm home. Reading a book outside, going to the park, playing tennis (in development), and of course swimming/laying out. Today, I was really craving to go outside since it was a beautiful day. Perfect weather, perfect everything. Linda invited me to have dinner with her and Tyrel out in the park in front of their house, which was great. Afterwards I walked home, grabbed my book and went off to one of my favorite parks out here (in Orem). I found the perfect spot, sat down, and laid down. It was so nice! The sun was hot enough that I could feel it burning a bit but there was still a strong wind to cool it off - perfect weather. So I laid down and read my book for about 2 hours. I'm craving to be outside more which is a blessing since I used to hate being outside except when I was on a beach.
Other than this new discovery, I have to say that I'm pretty thrilled to go to Washington D.C. I can't wait for the parks, the atmosphere, the people, the museums, and of course, the schools. I just wish time would start moving faster. Until then, I just keep wishing to leave this place and go home, work, rest, have fun and get ready for the Fall.
Also, I'm going to the Riviera Maya in a few weeks with the family - can't wait!!!

much love!

P.S. I'm building my summer reading list and if you have any suggestions please share!

V-E-A-G-S!!

Yes, I know how to spell. You may be wondering why the title but the story is too long to tell and it's basically an inside joke with my sis Annie. So, I do know how to spell (or I hope I do most of the time). My friend Feli (short for Felicia and Feliciana) were able to take a nice, short vacation trip to Vegas this past weekend. The trip was also to celebrate my half-birthday, which I've never done before. To start off, we were extremely excited to go, just ready to leave. Friday rolled around and we were ready with our packed bags as well as food. I believed we packed more food that clothes (true story). We set out Friday at 5, 30 minutes after we expected to but we were determined to get to Vegas before 11. To make this a short story, we left, had technology difficulties, got rained and snowed on on the way down, but nothing stopped us from an amazing Saturday. We shopped for ours at H&M and around the strip, we ate until we burst and we stayed on the strip people watching outside a Mexican dance bar at 12am (see video below). I will say it was a great, very-much-needed trip. But here are the picture :) ENJOY

Picture overload about to happen . . .

We cannot just forget about nuestro AMIGO that made our night for about 2 hours (he might not be very visible since the quality was somehow screwed by Blogger but still enjoy).

I'm packing a month and a half early . . .

Yep, I have started packing for my trip back home. As I began to put things in boxes and suitcases I realized this is not only bittersweet but I'm one month and a half early from when I'm supposed to leave! Of course, I like to start early but something subconsciously tells me that I really want to leave this place (referring to BYU and Provo in general) but my conscious tells me to stay a few more months. Why this happens is a mystery to me. It's like my mind won't make itself up and choose one feeling over the other. But oh well, whatevs. So sorry that this is a ridiculous random post but it seemed appropriate since 1. it's been a while since I've written, and 2. I really have nothing interesting to share. Maybe the next few weeks will be better though . . . let's hope (graduation . . .  kindergarten student teaching . . . V-E-AGS trip) : D

PS: Don't think I'm a horrible writer (or at least don't tell me) but I misspelled Vegas wrong on purpose. It's an inside joke my sister and I have.

Ahhhh . . . I have no words

My A-M-A-Z-I-N-G Sister :)

My sister has just been accepted to MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) - the school of her dreams since she was young. She was among the less-than-10% of accepted students and I am so proud of her hard work, dedication and persistence in achieving this goal. She deserves this more than anyone I know. I used to tell he, "You can do it! and now I say, "You did it!" This would not have happened without the many prayers of others and the Lord. I'm super happy and excited for her!

She will be studying Aerospace Engineering :)

much, much love
